This is the second document of the bound volume titled "A history of the Olympic College library from 1946-1977". This document was probably written by Emmet Hoynes the Director of the Learning Resources Center (Library). The document is a script for a video presentation to the Board of Trustees of Olympic College presented on February 20, 1974. It recounts some of the library history recorded in Lorraine Carter's document "Olympic College Library History 1946-1964" and continues that history up until 1974. An important date mentioned in the "Manuscript" is the 1972 remodeling project which was hoped to provide sufficient space until the new addition to the Learning Resources Center was completed. This gives a hint that already in 1972 plans were in the works for the new addition. This date gives context to statements in other documents in this bound volume ("Our Tomorrow" and the "Dedication" program) as to the timing of planning, construction, and opening of the new addition to the Learning Resources Center. The new addition was completed in May of 1977* and dedicated in a ceremony on June 3, 1977. The dedication ceremony program is document six in this bound volume.
